Betashar (literally "opening the face") is the rite in which the new bride is introduced to the groom's relatives. A singer (aqyn or zhyrshy) performs the betashar song, naming each relative in turn; the bride bows to each (sälem salu), and they give her a gift (körimdik).

Does betashar need its own invitation

Most often betashar opens the wedding toi itself, so one line in the wedding invitation is enough: "Betashar at [time]". Guests who arrive late miss it, which is why the time is worth stating separately.

When the rite is held on its own, at the groom's family home, send a separate invitation with the bride's name, the date, the exact start time and the address.
